"Luxury" items to make living at camp feel more like home

I worked at boy scout camps for nine summer seasons. After my first year at camp I started figuring out what simple things could make my 10 weeks in the woods 100 times better. 1. Rug Whether you are sleeping in a wall tent or a cabin a rug will make your space feel like home. It also can help prevent you from stepping on nails in the wood platform or getting splinters. When it gets dirty you can sweep it off or take it outside and give it a good shake. I always preferred rugs made for patios since they were more durable and easier to clean. Really, even a dollar store bathmat by your bed is nice. 2. Pop up laundry basket I used a pop up yard bag/trash bin for YEARS. They are more durable than the pop up laundry bags at most retailers and they do the same thing. It was nice that packing it to/from camp I could fold it up if I needed to. Having a laundry basket that you could just throw clothes in is seriously a luxury. It sounds weird but this was a lifesaver. it kept my spa
