What makes a good fire? Oxygen, Heat, Fuel
How are fires good? Warmth, cooking, look nice
How are they harmful? They can hurt you, burn forests, burn homes, etc...
How can we prevent fires at home. Talk about fire safety at home and when camping.

Demonstrate each way to light a lighterless and matchless fire. Make sure that all fire stays within the fire ring. Let the scouts try to light either a cotton ball or some paper. You can have a competition between scouts to see who can get a small flame first.

Talk about how to safely put out fires. Do so. Clean up and talk about leave no trace.
